Always examine the HEPA grade before purchasing an air purifier


HEPA is the name of an air filter that has a higher resolution than normal air filters. Used for capturing particles smaller than 0.3 microns, which of course includes PM2.5 which is 2.5 microns in size.

  • H12 : 99.5% efficiency, 0.5% chance of particles passing through.

  • H14 : 99.995% efficiency, 0.005% chance of particles passing through.
